Founder · Angels Outreach
Angels Outreach Unlimited was founded by Sister Sara Hale in 2001 to serve the needs of the poor and homeless on Chicago's south side. That mission began even earlier in 1993 as a program of Holy Angels Church — providing clothing, food, counseling, and spiritual support to residents of Ida B. Wells and Madden Park.
Practicing what she called the "Ministry of the Moment," Sister Sara provided whatever was needed by whoever walked through the door — no questions, no conditions. Angels Outreach expanded over the years to serve Bronzeville, Oakland, Hyde Park, and Kenwood.
Although saddened by Sister Sara's passing in April 2010, Angels Outreach has continued to follow the mission and mandate she left behind — a faith-based, not-for-profit ministry on Chicago's south side.
